Meet the Founders
María Inés Flores is a former Olympic gymnast from Guatemala with a passion for health and sports. She trained in the United States for four years under US Olympic coaches before returning home to represent her country at the 1987 Panam Games and the 1988 Olympic Games (Seoul ’88).
As former elite athletes, Roberto and María share a deep love for sports. Together they have four happy, athletic children who participate in various activities. As a family, they’ve encouraged their own kids to discover the joy, challenges, and rewards of practicing sports.
When creating Kiddo Bus together, Roberto and María knew this was the perfect opportunity to plant the seed of love of sports and fitness in kiddos from a very young age. This, in turn, helps them to form good health habits that will last a lifetime!
María expertise in gymnastics is a key strength of Kiddo Bus’s lesson plans, which are developed to engage kiddos through fun and safe learning. Maria’s role as a mom of four kiddos is as equally important in how she approaches the Kiddo Bus experience–treasuring each individual child in the program is a main principle of the company’s philosophy and strategy.
Having good health habits and lifestyle is a cornerstone of Kiddo Bus’s philosophy. As a Certified Nutritional Coach (IIN Logo), Maria also provides support to families in their efforts to lead healthier lives via Nutrition seminars, workshops, and a newsletter with relevant Nutrition and Wellness information.
With Kiddo Bus, children develop strength, flexibility, and good health habits. Most importantly, each kiddo is happy–ultimately discovering his or her energy and potential.
